Go Greek! The Brunswick Shopping Centre
Updated: Jun 22, 2018
6pm - 10pm at The Brunswick, Russel Square, London
Thursday 21st June 2018

Today is 'Go Greek' at The Brunswick Centre which is a short walk from Russel Square tube station in London, UK. The area is well known as it's also the location of Great Ormond Street Hospital and many other hospitals surrounding it.
The Brunwick Centre is a pleasant parade of shops, cafés and restaurants with a water feature so this outside event should be enjoyable.. weather permitting!
There will be a Greek barbecue 'Souvlaki' for you to enjoy FREE of charge and an opportunity to sample the traditional Greek sweet 'Loukoumades' or honey balls courtesy of Greek Patisserie, Aroma in Palmers Green and you can wash it all down with FREE drinks, while you admire a spot of plate smashing and our fabulous line up of traditional entertainment on stage. Alex from The Sandwich Den will have his ice-cream there where you can sample Rose 'Triantafyllo' ice-cream. Yes, rose as in rose petals, don't knock it before you try it, it's like a refreshing sobet.
The event should feel like being at the open theatre at Finikoudes on Larnaca beach seafront in Cyprus when a festival is on...minus the sea and sand! It will give you a taste of Cyprus, Greece and the Islands...for a night 'Go Greek'. See you there!

For more information check out The Brunswick's Facebook and tweet and follow them Twitter and Instagram @BrunswickLondon #GoGreek
Kostas Lasithiotakis of Photosophy will be the official photographer with London Greek Radio & GreekBeat Radio streaming live from Facebook. Hellenic TV will be filming and interviewing along with local press and radio.
It was a great night, enjoyed by all who attended of mixed cultures. Many Greeks passed comments saying it was like an event in Cyprus there hadn't been anything like this before in London. Personally I would like to see this as a yearly event. Well done to the organisers and performers.
